I really hope for the frogs sake the bug took off at this point. Well done Yves, this would have been hard to spot.

I first spot him because he was opening and closing his mouth in a frenzzy. I think he caught an insect too big and realise he won't be able to swallow it.

The perfect solution.. and another excellent capture for the series.

Thank you for the nice comments Heather

Description
I had a great opportunity to photo shoot the amazing escape by a flying insect that look like a bumble bee or a big wasp. Of course I missed the catch. When I notice someting moved on lilly pads the frog was kind of yarning with the mouth open. I started shooting then it become obvious that some big insect was trying to get out of there. I kept shooting how the frog will manage the problem. According to me there has been an escape but I have no proof. Between the last an the previous photo I stop shooting to change the focal distance from 300mm to 800mm.
